AIDC Announces Editors' Hour Sessions

The Editors’ Hour is a series of one hour sessions where Commissioning Editors and funding representatives, from various regions and networks, discuss their market interest and content requirements.

Delegates learn about the criteria applied when selecting projects to invest in or to acquire, and have the opportunity to ask specific questions.

This year's program includes:

  • Sales Agents - including representatives from USA, Switzerland, NZ and AUST
  • North American Public Broadcasters - including KETC, PBS International, ITVS and WNED
  • China/Korea Region - including Sohu.com, Beijing Channel Zero Media, and EBS
  • Al Jazeera - including Head of Documentaries and Features, Flora Gregory
  • BBC - including BBC Storyville, BBC Scotland and BBC World News
  • Discovery Channel - including Executive Producer, Mark Francis
  • Europe - including representatives from ARTE France, ZDF / ARTE Germany, and YLE Finland
  • National Geographic - including representatives from UK, USA and AUST

Each session is limited to 30 delegates and sign up is required in advance.

Delegates must sign up in person at the Sales Desk, one day in advance of their chosen session. Seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and each delegate can attend a maximum of three sessions.

Thought Equity Motion Trailer Competition

For those of you who haven’t already taken advantage of this offer, Thought Equity Motion has invited AIDC delegates to submit trailers for their latest documentary projects for a chance to have it completely remade with high-quality footage from Thought Equity Motion’s library.

The deadline to submit trailers for consideration is Monday 8 February.

One trailer will be selected to be remade and analysed by Thought Equity Motion’s CEO and other documentary funding decision makers during the session “Anatomy of a Trailer: Simple Strategies to Create More Engaging Trailers and Attract Funding” taking place during AIDC. 

Delegates attending this session will also get the latest details on Thought Equity Motion’s new relationship with BBC Motion Gallery and receive an exclusive discount for future footage purchases on www.thoughtequity.com.
