What's On - AIDC starts Tuesday 23 February

Science Exchange Pitching Session and Networking Event - science stories will be pitched by scientists, to science producers and science broadcasters, at the Royal Institution of Australia's Science Exchange Building from 4pm. Delegates are invited to attend the Pitch Session, at Science Exchange Building, Exchange Place, Adelaide.

First Factual Films Festival (F4) - delegates are invited to the F4 opening night screening at the Mercury Cinema hosted by Sandy George and featuring UK master Brian Hill's Saturday Night, followed by Australian First Filmmaker films by Kim Munro (The Rise of Leatherman) and Stella Kinsella (Making Mary & Max). Please join us for drinks at 4.30pm before the screening commences at 5pm sharp. Complimentary tickets for AIDC delegates are available at the Mercury Cinema box office from 4.15pm allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The Mercury Cinema is located at 13 Morphett Street, Adelaide tel 8410 1934. Please note, the screening program concludes in time for delegates to attend the AIDC opening night function at the Hawke Centre nearby.

Opening Night Function - This year we have a very full night of drinks & socialising, an Award Ceremony, the inaugural Stanley Hawes Address, and late night revelry – all to get you started on the AIDC path. Delegates are invited to attend these special events from 7pm, starting with drinks and canapés in the Kerry Packer Civic Gallery at the Hawke Centre. At 8pm, delegates will move into the Alan Scott Theatre in the Hawke Centre for the inaugural AIDC Stanley Hawes Address by the Award winner Tom Zubrycki. Then the Opening Night Party starts up at 9pm at Casablabla - the AIDC After Hours Bar at 12 Leigh Street. These events are a great opportunity to welcome all delegates to the Conference, and for delegates to catch up with old colleagues and make new connections.


What's on - AIDC Venue Tuesday 23 February:

Registration Desk - open for delegates to register and collect their Conference pass and complimentary satchel.  Avoid the Wednesday morning rush and register on Tuesday from 10am.

Screening Room - open from 10:30am for delegates to view Videotheque and Trailer Park submissions for acquisition and co-production purposes.

Delegate Lounge - open from 10:30am for delegates to use as a dedicated meeting room. Also includes two DocExchange computer stations and free wireless internet.
